A typical treatment begins with a session of IPL (intense pulsed light) which targets damage caused by UV exposure: freckles, age spots, brown and red discoloration, uneven skin tone and dullness. How many sessions will I need?
For the best results, we recommend 3 to 5 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
How quickly will I see results?
You can see results within the first week! As SmoothGlo continues to work its magic, you will continue to see improvements in the tone, texture and firmness of your skin up to 45 days after your last treatment.
Why is SmoothGlo better than alternatives?
What makes SmoothGlo so amazing is its ability to address multiple skin concerns at once. Can anyone benefit from SmoothGlo?
While SmoothGlo is safe for most candidates, it may not be suitable for you if you:
- Have darker skin (Fitzpatrick types V-VI). IPL is not an ideal treatment for these skin types due to the increased risk of discoloration. Don’t worry – we have dark-skin friendly substitutes that can be used in place of IPL!
- Have had recent sun exposure
- Are pregnant.
- Have an implanted electronic device
Is it safe for dark skin?
Due to the increased risk of discoloration, IPL is not ideal for people with darker skin (Fitzpatrick types V-VI). But don’t worry! We have dark-skin friendly substitutes that can be used in place of IPL!
Is it safe for oily, dry or sensitive skin types?
Yes, SmoothGlo is perfectly safe for all skin types, including oily, dry and sensitive skin.
Is it painful?
SmoothGlo is an incredibly easy treatment with very minimal pain and discomfort. You won’t even need numbing gel!
How do I maintain my results?
SmoothGlo provides remarkable upfront results, but if you really want to keep enjoying them we recommend an additional maintenance treatment every 18 to 24 months.
When can I wear makeup after the treatment?
Wait 24 hours before applying make up or any other products.
How long does a session take?
Each session can be completed within an hour, allowing you to get right back to your normal routine.
Aftercare advice and downtime?
To ensure that you get the most out of your SmoothGlo treatment, please keep your skin clean. Avoid saunas, hot tubs and sweating for 3 days. Direct sun exposure and self tanner should be avoided for 2 weeks. Besides that, there is no downtime and you can return to your normal daily activities as soon as you complete your treatment.
